Tirumala’s annual sevas are spectacular festivals that transform the temple into celestial celebrations. Each festival carries centuries of tradition, elaborate rituals, and deep spiritual significance.
Teppotsavam (Float Festival)
The magnificent 5-day festival celebrated on Swami Pushkarini featuring beautifully decorated floats carrying deities on sacred waters. Day 1: Lord Rama with Sita and Lakshmana. Day 2: Lord Krishna and Rukmini.
Vasanthotsavam (Spring Festival)
Dating back to 1460s, this festival celebrates spring arrival. Lord and consorts receive aromatic baths on Trayodasi, Chaturdasi, and Pournami, providing divine relief from summer heat.
Padmavathi Parinayam (Divine Wedding)
The celestial marriage of Lord Srinivasa and Goddess Padmavathi under moonlight at Narayanagiri gardens. Sri Malayappa arrives on Gaja, Aswa, and Garuda Vahanas over 3 evenings.
Abhideyaka Abhishekam
Special abhishekam to Lord’s divine protective armour. Performed in Jyestha month, this ritual invokes protection against evil forces for all devotees.
Pushpa Pallaki (Anivara Asthanam)
The grand accounting festival on Dakshinayana. Temple officers submit accounts and receive back their insignia from Lord Venkateswara, symbolizing divine authority.
Pavithrotsavam (Purification Festival)
The grandest purification festival since 1463 AD. Elaborate Tirumanjanam and Homam performed on Ekadasi, Dwadasi, Trayodasi for complete spiritual cleansing.
Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam
Complete purification of sanctum sanctorum performed 4 times yearly: before Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, Brahmotsavam, and Vaikunta Ekadasi.

- Book Early: Annual sevas have very limited tickets and sell out weeks in advance
- Check Exact Dates: Festival dates change yearly based on Hindu calendar
- Accommodation: Book rooms simultaneously with seva tickets during festival season
- Arrive Early: Reporting times are crucial – late arrivals may not be allowed
- Traditional Dress: Proper attire mandatory – dhoti for men, saree/salwar for women
