A unique festival at Tirupati’s cow sanctuary where devotees can feed and honor Gomata (the sacred cow).
On the auspicious occasion of Kanuma, which falls on Friday, January 16, 2026, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will grandly observe Gopuja Mahotsavam at the Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshanasala (SV Gosala) in Tirupati.
This special celebration is dedicated to venerating Gomata (the sacred cow) and features a series of rituals and devotional programs, including a rare opportunity for devotees to personally participate.

గోపూజ మహోత్సవం రోజున గోవులకు బెల్లం, బియ్యం, గ్రాసం భక్తులు స్వయంగా తినిపించే అవకాశాన్ని టీటీడీ కల్పిస్తోంది. ఈ సదవకాశాన్ని భక్తులు సద్వినియోగం చేసుకుని గోమాత, స్వామివారి కృపకు పాత్రులు కావాలని కోరడమైనది.
You will have the chance to personally feed the cows at the goshala. TTD will provide items like jaggery, rice, and fodder, allowing you to seek the direct blessings of Gomata. This is considered a highly auspicious and meritorious act.
